Achievable Resolutions for College Students

Being honest, most New Year’s resolutions do not work because they are outrageous and un-achievable. The human mind is erratic to change and there is no day that it will succumb to enforced priorities. Change takes time. All the human mind requires is motivation, if it is to adapt to changes. So most of the time, hormone stricken college students find themselves going back to school year after year having made resolutions but still repeating the same old mistakes.

However, the only proven way to change is focusing on small gradual changes which over time, tend to be adapted into a positive healthy lifestyle. The first good resolution would be to save money. Being frugal with your money is not the end of it all, you can buy a piggy bank, as stupid as it seems, or recycle your old cans for saving change. Then you can treat yourself every time the piggy bank is full. Purpose to eat better; healthy eating will help you evade chronic and other opportunistic diseases.

Balancing between school works and having to prepare your own food might be quite hard. Overcome this by snacking and carry some fruits to school too. Furthermore, aim to maintain healthy relationships with your friends and close kin. If you can’t see them, sending a text or just a mere call can be enough. Your room may be stuffed up with clothes and you really do not have space to put up anything. This year you can de-clutter; do away with everything that occupies space but you really do not need. Finally you can learn a new skill. Learn how to play a guitar, or a wind instrument; New Year new you!
